Translations

• Users which have been assigned as translators are able to translate the CheckTrees.com website and the CheckTrees app to their language.
• It is possible to translate
  • texts for the user interface of the CheckTrees.com website,
  • common names of the tree species,
  • common names of associate species,
  • texts for the user interface of the CheckTrees app.

How to translate common names of tree species

1. Go to the translation editor (Tools > Translations).
2. Click the "Translate" button in the "Tree species common names" row.
3. In the "Tree species common names" page translate the common names of the tree species.
   • Fill the common name in the input field and save it using the "Save" buttons.
   • It is possible to work without using mouse. Click in the input field, enter the common name, use the "Tab" key to move to the "Save" button, use the "Enter" key to save the common name and use the "Tab" key again to move to the next input field.
   • Input field with unsaved changes will have yellow background.

How to translate common names of associate species

1. Go to the translation editor (Tools > Translations).
2. Click the "Translate" button in the "Associate species common names" row.
3. In the "Associate species common names" page translate the common names of the associate species.
   • Fill the common name in the input field and save it using the "Save" buttons.
   • It is possible to work without using mouse. Click in the input field, enter the common name, use the "Tab" key to move to the "Save" button, use the "Enter" key to save the common name and use the "Tab" key again to move to the next input field.
   • Input field with unsaved changes will have yellow background.
